11th OECD Rural Development Conference “Enabling rural innovation”, 9-12 April 218, Edinburgh, UK

Following on from the 10th Conference held in Memphis in 2015, National Prosperity through Modern Rural Policy: Competitiveness and well-being in rural regions, the 11th Conference will focus on how innovation can help rural areas respond to the challenges of globalisation and shifting trading patterns, and moreover, what drives rural innovation.

Building on the messages from the Rural Policy 3.0 framework, and through the shared experiences of leading national and international rural experts, government officials and other stakeholders, discussions will look at common challenges, identify best practices and explore the current and future opportunities that are emerging for rural areas with this next production revolution.
